Sensory Friendly Performances

A Sensory Friendly performance is a theater production that welcomes individuals with sensory needs, including people on the autism spectrum, as well as first-time theatergoers and young children. The show is modified to allow for patron movement, staff and actors are trained to accommodate patron needs, and all patrons are welcome to experience theater in a safe, non-judgmental environment.

Smiling children enjoy a break outside an Encore Performing Arts classroom during their Beginning Musical Theater Class. They are seated on the floor, casually dressed, and interacting happily, creating a lively and friendly atmosphere.
Children prepare for a rehearsal for a musical theater production at Encore Performing Arts, sitting with a youth mentor who is helping them get ready for the performance. The lively setting shows kids interacting and gearing up for the show.

Building character through performance

Encore is so excited to introduce our show choir! This program is an audition-based song and dance performing group for ages 8-High School Senior. Our show choir is geared towards young performers wanting to expand their knowledge and experience of the performing arts! This weekly class will include learning music and choreography, as well as giving your kids a chance to perform several times throughout the year.
